incuto to speak at Bradford Safer Internet Day 2020

incuto is delighted to announce it will be participating in The Anti-Poverty Events Group’s upcoming Safer Internet Day 2020. Taking place in Bradford on 11 February and Keighley on 13 February, the event will host 140 professionals and practitioners working with vulnerable people in Bradford District. Demand was high for the event with all places taken up ahead of next week’s dates. The incuto team will be running a workshop on digital finance on both dates for those seeking more information on digital inclusion and online protection.

The Anti-Poverty Events Group supports the aims of the Bradford Anti-Poverty Coordination Group and is made up of community organisations including Bradford District Credit Union, CNET, People CAN, Bradford Council, Barnardo's and Carers Resource. Alongside incuto’s workshop, delegates will have an opportunity to hear about the rise of fake news, safeguarding children online, cyber security, health and the internet and online gambling.

Commenting on incuto’s role at Safer Internet Day 2020, CEO Andrew Rabbitt says: “Credit unions and community banks can play a key role in supporting vulnerable people and keeping them safe online. Our technology not only helps Members access financial services online quickly and safely, it also enables credit unions to reach a wider audience who will benefit from the type of financial inclusivity and education they offer. We’re delighted to attend Bradford’s Safer Internet Day and contribute to such a valuable discussion.”

Ian Brewer, Financial Inclusion Officer, Bradford District Credit Union comments: “We’re looking forward to having incuto on the agenda at Safer Internet Day 2020. This is a great opportunity for our community to come together and discuss how we best inform vulnerable individuals and families in a digital world. We are committed to supporting financial and digital inclusion and internet safety is a huge part of this for our credit union Members and beyond.”
