Cameron Douglas takes on role of Customer Success Associate

We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Cameron Douglas. He joins the incuto team following a year-long apprenticeship scheme with our partner, Northumberland Community Bank (NCB).

Cameron joined NCB after a rigorous interview process. He will be passing on the mantle to another lucky candidate as NCB is now looking for its next apprentice who will have the chance to gain valuable experience and a recognised qualification in Customer Service Level 2. During Cameron’s time in the team, he progressed to the role of Finance Systems Lead, gaining experience that would enable him to secure his new role at incuto as a Customer Success Associate.

Commenting on the apprenticeship scheme at NCB, Cameron says: “I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do when I left school, but having the chance to work within an experienced team, get a qualification and get paid at the same time was fantastic. I learnt so much through the apprenticeship; working within a small team means you play an important role. As well as gaining knowledge about banking technology, I learnt a lot about the credit union and community banking sector which has been vital to my next career move.”

During the course of his time at NCB, Cameron was encouraged to develop his strengths and was put in challenging situations which helped hone his skills. He took on the role of Finance Systems Lead after showing interest in the technology side of the bank, which has invested in transforming its online offering for Members.

NCB’s CEO Lauren Langton says: “We’re extremely proud of our apprenticeship scheme, along with Cameron’s success, our other former apprentice Julie Mills, took on a full time role at NCB as Customer Services Lead and even won Apprentice of the Year at the National Apprenticeship Awards 2019. On the back of this success, we are keen to offer the same opportunity to a new candidate so I would urge anyone who is interested in the banking sector, ethical finance, financial education and technology, as well as the obvious benefit of working with and helping people in the local community, to see what the apprenticeship can offer.”
